Sigulda mayor ousted less than five months after elections

On Thursday, 13 November, the majority of the Sigulda Regional Council ousted Mayor Jānis Vimba (Sigulda Regional Party), who had been in the chair for less than five months. The deputies accused him of disinterest in municipal processes, but Vimba rejects the accusations.
